What the Docklands means to me!

Driving into work several weeks ago, as I do every morning admiring Beach Road thinking how lucky I am to travel down this path every day, the news on the radio came through with Melbourne being voted again the most livable city in the world.

I immediately felt a sense of pride. Traveling through Port Melbourne on my way to the Docklands I pondered how this part of Melbourne has come a very long way from the days of being run down and abandoned wharfs and factories.

I sometimes get asked from some of my old customers, if the decision to leave the plush leafy suburb of East Hawthorn to come to the Docklands was a good move for me and my business.

Before I answer the question, I look outside to the wonders of Yarra’s Edge admiring the buildings, the water, the yachts, Bolte Bridge and as I stare into the horizon my only obstruction is a crane busily working away, another on the other side of the shop lifting and carting huge steel beams.

I wonder in amazement on how quickly this huge and unassuming location called the Docklands has grown in just the two years that Fruit For You & Flowers Too first came to be part of the ANZ Centre … and with great excitement in my voice I reply “without any doubt!”

What other part of Melbourne allows you the privilege of being part of the most premium commercial precinct, together with prime real estate and lifestyle to boot???? Not many!

It’s quiet, convenient and so close to everything. The potential is huge and for those who haven’t ventured past Spencer St, you are definitely missing out. So come on down and have a look!

In short, Docklands means to me freedom, success and enjoyment.
