I’ve got the Docklands Fever!

Posted by real_admin

It’s a cold Monday morning in Melbourne. The train pulls in to Southern Cross Station.
I know I’m home.
The stairs are steep but I feel great.
To the right, on Harbour Esplanade Channel 7, I’m sure, are negotiating the Australian Open and many other iconic Melbourne sporting events.
Next door at the AFL House, no doubt, St Kilda Football Club are negotiating their way out of their latest scandal. And two doors down from that the Etihad Stadium is buzzing with life even though it’s only Monday morning.
I take a walk to Docklands Boulevard to get my morning coffee and coming out of the Docklands Studio I see my favourite characters from Rush, God I love that show.
I stop a while to watch and admire while I sip my latte, and then head back to Bourke Street to the Channel 9 building, my workplace and home for the last 12 months.
I still get a kick out of entering the revolving doors every morning to be greeted by the happy faces and vibrant set of the Disney Show.
As I flick through my emails, an RSVP is needed from me – Drinks this evening at Platform 28 with the gang. Oh yes, I love my life. I love my job. And most of all, I love Docklands.
